Why RTX 50 prices keep climbing: memory, not gamers
The RTX 50 price increase traces back to memory chips rather than graphics chips. Samsung, SK hynix and Micron build the GDDR7 that goes into consumer GPUs on the same lines as the HBM that goes into AI data centers, and HBM reportedly returns five to ten times more margin per gigabyte.
